Not even a week ago, team Oppo was just a bump in the road of big boys and had barely cracked a million total points. But now we’re well on our way to top 2000 of all teams! For reference, here is a summary that Rusty posted on Sunday :
Top 1000, here we come! No one can stop our brown manual diesel wagon miata of progress!

I got restarting issues lately. My psu is 11 years old now..... I'm wondering. I'll wonder more after I replace a cable or two and try different output sockets

You mob are more infectious than Covid-19... fortunately, more productive.

Plug some loose wires straight into your motherboard from the wall socket. PSUs are just scams from Big PC to get you to buy more parts and wires than you need. Any black smoke is just a sign you’ve unlocked your core limiters.
Full of the sound of the Gran Fury, signifying nothing.

After my surge last night I started looking at some of Rusty’s old posts to see where we came from. Kind of funny when the ‘old days’ amounts to last Sunday...

Finally got a couple decent GPU WU’s and got up closer to my PPD average prior to switching teams. Excited for the next couple days!

I was able to finally put down some good numbers myself, but I was putting down around 1.2-1.5million a day with just my desktop, and I did about 1.5 yesterday with both my desktop and laptop. Hopefully we will all get more regular WUs.

Thank you, Kinja, for once again failing to post my edit in time to a comment I made....

I left my new 5700XT folding today while I’m at work, so hopefully it gets a steady supply of work units. I’ve only got it folding at 3/4 on the CPU, as I haven’t done enough thermal testing with my aio settings and the new 3900X to be 100% confident about leaving it rocking at full tilt for 8 hours completely unattended.
I should be back in the game, at least until I get home this evening and start playing with my new monitor that should be delivered today. I’ll have to shut down the folding to mess around with virtual racecars in 1440p.

yeah I turned off CPU folding to help the thermal/power envelop since I’m on a laptop. But it seems that it peaks at 70C and with a bit of propping up, it will fold at 55-60C all day while I’m at work.

Completely stock clocks across devices or are you overclocked anywhere, CPU, GPU, RAM?

The ryzen system boosts chips. I've got windows profiler setting min power low and max 100. Might raise the min, hear it reduces latency but I doubt that's causing it.

That 5700xt is going to put some huge number up, can’t wait to see the results.
For some piece of mind, you might consider installing Google Chrome’s desktop sharing tool that can be accessed from any phone or computer with a browser and internet connection. I use it to easily managed servers and works well to watch your folding from a distance.

I don’t think you’ll see much of a change by telling windows the min/max power level but good luck and report back if things improve.

Right. its just cpu latency when shifting to high gear, not anything that would cause a total system reboot. I did change manufacturer cards and therefore drivers, I’ll revisit the drivers with DDU to totally clean out the old drivers and leftover files to ensure its a clean clean graphics setup.

I thought of that as a I drove to work this morning. There had never previously been even the slightest reason for me to do remote access to my home PC before, so I’ve never set anything up. I probably will tonight.
